Westminster Hit-and-Run Crash Kills McDaniel College Student

According to this recent WTOP 103.5 FM report, a college student attending McDaniel College was killed in early February in a hit-and-run accident. Police officials in Westminster, MD, say that 19-year-old Thomas Rouleau of Gilboa, NY, died at the scene from injuries he suffered in the auto accident. A spokesman for the Westminster Police Department said that Rouleau was in a car with four other McDaniel College students when their car was rear-ended by a Ford pickup truck late on the evening of February 6, 2009.

The driver of the Ford pickup fled the scene after the car accident in Maryland and police have not yet located the truck or driver involved in the deadly car accident. Westminster police officials say that the fatal rear-end crash occurred just moments after the pickup truck had been involved in a minor accident while backing out of a parking space. The four other McDaniel College students were treated for minor injuries and released from area hospitals.
